Swim Gym, Miami FL                                            Water Safety Instructor                                             June 2011-Present

  • Teach over 800 persons of all ages, from 3 months old to adults, how to swim

  • Assist children with disabilities in becoming comfortable in the water this included but not limited to students with autism, cerebral palsy, and down syndrome.

  • Organize and maintain data and progress on all swimmers

  • Engage with swimmer and family members to ensure a positive environment and cultivate personal relationships

 

Project Panther LIFE at FIU                                          Academic Mentor                             August 2015 - December 2016

  • Aided intellectually disabled students of the PantherLIFE program with university programs which included reviewing course material and resources available and helping with time management/organizational skills.

  • Assisted student in completing classwork and homework assignments

  • Encouraged self-advocacy within the student and was a part of their support system as a model of behavior.

Florida Education Association (FEA)                Signature Events Committee Leader                   June 2016 – March 2017

  • Organized community wide events which included the Fall conference where 300+ students across 20 different high schools take part in educational driven presentations and competitions.

 

Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority

  • Managed campus and community events of a chapter of over 150 women

  • Oversaw the coordinators of the following activities: Fundraising and Sponsorship, Philanthropy, Community Service, Marketing, and Athletics.

  • Planned and took part in eight community service projects including Feed My Starving Children, water donation to Flint Michigan, letters to children in Miami Children’s Hospital, and donations of goods to homeless shelters.
